Project Assets and Updated Navigation
Now there’s a dedicated space to manage your project equipment!
With Project Assets, you can bring only the equipment relevant to your current project, no more digging through the entire catalog.
We’ve also updated the navigation to better support both Electrical and Civil workflows, making it easier to focus on your area of expertise.
SAT Wizard. New Workflow Tool
Say hello to a cleaner, more flexible way to configure your SAT systems!
The SAT Wizard provides a guided workflow and advanced menu space to help you build and customize tracker configurations with ease.
Fixed Tilt. Advanced Configuration
We’ve added more flexibility to Fixed Tilt systems!
You can now adjust piles based on wind load configuration and terrain undulation.
Helping you fine-tune designs for real site conditions.
Fixed Tilt. Terrain Following
FT systems can now follow terrain, just like SATs!
This makes it easier to adapt your fixed-tilt designs to sloped or uneven ground with minimal manual adjustments.
2D Ruler
You can now measure distances directly in the top view! 📐
Use the 2D ruler to do quick, basic measurements, perfect for checking spacing and layout dimensions on the fly.
Improvments
String Inverter Wiring Schemes
We’ve enhanced the electrical wiring schemes for string inverter layouts! Now, both Trunk Bus and Harness wiring options are available for more flexible and accurate designs.
Layout Generation. Substation-Aware Solvers
Arrays now align naturally toward the substation during layout generation!
This “magnetized” behavior helps you control how your parcels are filled, making designs more efficient and better organized around your electrical infrastructure.
Layout Generation. Block Offsets & Gap Consistency
You now have control over how consistent your block offsets are!
Choose between precise alignment or flexible spacing to optimize for more MWdc, giving you a better balance between layout structure and energy production.
Layout Generation. Linked Roads
We’re one step closer to meaningful road networks in auto-generated layouts!
You can now generate layouts with basic road placeholders or choose to trim edges and automatically link equipment roads, giving structure to your site from the start.
Boundaries by EW Slopes
You can now create boundaries based on East-West slopes, in addition to the existing North-South slope option.
This gives you more flexibility when working with complex terrain and slope-specific layout strategies.
Catalog Diff & Logs
You can now track what’s been added or removed in your equipment catalog!
Stay informed with clear logs that help you monitor changes and keep your project assets up to date.
DXF Import Simplification
We’ve expanded our DXF import capabilities to support more layout file formats directly, including those commonly used in the industry.
This makes it easier to bring in existing designs without extra conversion steps, streamlining your workflow from the very beginning.

SHP import
You can now import boundaries using SHP files!
Just upload a ZIP archive containing the .shp and .prj files, and we’ll place your boundaries automatically, respecting both geolocation and unit system.
Autodesk Viewer
Now you can view DXF files from PVFARM directly in Autodesk Viewer, especially if you’re a Mac user
DXF Export Simplification
Now you have two export options:
- Simplified DXF export (default) for quick, clean files
- Detailed DXF export including piles and modules for full design info
Pick the one that fits your workflow best!
KML Export. Layout
You can now export your layout as a KML file, including trackers! Simply select the objects on the scene and export them as KML for easy mapping and sharing.
Boundaries as polylines
We now distinguish boundaries based on their original geometry:
- Closed polylines are automatically recognized as boundaries
- Open polylines remain as polylines
Plus, you can always create a boundary around your polylines whenever you need.
2D Top View
We’ve added a new 2D top view to your project views! It activates automatically when using the Ruler and places your layout neatly on top of the terrain and underlay data.
The 3D and perspective views are still available and unchanged, so you can switch between 2D/3D/Perspective modes anytime.
