August 2026 Update
Discover What's New: August 2026 Product New Features & Enhancements
Equipment Management
Equipment setup is now more flexible and less disruptive. You can add project equipment from the place where they need it, continue with only the required fields, and complete detailed specs later in Project Assets.
- New equipment items for a project can be added directly from the import step, copied from another project/version, or selected from the catalog.
- You can create equipment with only the fields needed to continue, then finish the detailed specs later in Project Assets.
- Equipment properties are now grouped around the work they support: layout, energy production, LV wiring, LCOE, or reference-only context.

More control over manual modeling in PVFARM
Manual modeling now supports more detailed layout edits inside a block. You can work with inverter and combiner-box structures directly, while the editing flow stays consistent with the manual blocking tools introduced earlier this year.
- Build and adjust lower-level electrical groups, such as combiner groupings, after selecting a block.
- Review dense layouts more clearly with improved selected-state visibility
- Preserve manual intent during regeneration by (un)locking the objects that should stay in place as they are.
- Reuse prepared local structures with “copy” action, including notching for blocks.

Other Improvements
- New visual patterns make snapping behavior more intuitive
- Tie slope calculation has been updated.
- It now more accurately reflects typical process where the tie slope is perpendicular to the graded surface along the edge.
- Additional updates have improved tie slope performance in areas of large cut and fill where adjacent areas have existing high slopes.
- In edge cases during LV generation, it is significantly less likely for equipment to appear under racks.
- New options when creating layouts with East-West roads, inverters can not be placed at the edge of the block ensuring blocks only exist on one or the other side of a road
- Equipment data sheets as PDF can now be directly imported into PVFARM. These will be analyzed with AI-based tools to property identify equipment properties and allow you to review and import the new equipment
